رییس گروه ذخایر ژنتیکی دفتر موزه ملی تاریخ طبیعی و ذخایر ژنتیکی سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست گفت: امروزه ذخایر ژنتیکی به قدری ارزشمند شدند که از ذخایر نفتی نیز ارزشمندتر محسوب می شوند.

گیل فام / به گزارش روابط عمومی سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست، لیلا عزالدین لو، رییس گروه ذخایر ژنتیکی دفتر موزه ملی تاریخ طبیعی و ذخایر ژنتیکی سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست بیان کرد: امروزه ذخایر ژنتیکی به قدری ارزشمند شدند که از ذخایر نفتی نیز ارزشمندتر محسوب می شوند. وی با اشاره به اینکه وقتی ذخایر ژنتیکی حفظ شوند در حقیقت امنیت پایدار حفظ می شود، تصریح کرد: دسترسی به منابع ژنتیکی امروزه در دنیا به قدری مهم است که پروتکل های بین المللی کشورهای توسعه یافته را ملزم می کند تا با رعایت جنبه های حقوقی این منابع را در اختیار کشورها توسعه نیافته نیز بگذارند. او با تاکید بر اینکه باید مرجع متمرکزی برای ذخایر ژنتیکی داشته باشیم، ادامه داد: به نظر می رسد تولی گری مساله تنوع زیستی و مرجع بودن تنوع زیستی در صلاحیت سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست است زیرا این مجموعه یک نهاد بالادستی و ناظر است و ما باید به این موضوع توجه ویژه داشته باشیم. عزالدین لو تاکید کرد: حفاظت از تنوع زیستی امروزه در دنیا به دو شیوه حفاظت داخل زیستگاه و حفاظت بیرون زیستگاه یعنی در مراکز تکثیر و حفاظت انجام می گیرد و اولویت اصلی، حفاظت گونه ها در زیستگاه های طبیعی است و حفاظت در بانک های زیستی نقش و اهمیت بسیار ویژه ای در مدیریت و حفاظت حیات وحش دارد. رییس گروه ذخایر ژنتیکی دفتر موزه ملی تاریخ طبیعی و ذخایر ژنتیکی سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست عنوان داشت: ما یک بانک ژنتیکی در سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست داریم که نزدیک به ۴ هزار نمونه از حدود ۲۰ درصد از گونه های جانوری کشور را در خود جای داده است و این نگهداری کاملا مطابق با استانداردها و پروتکل های جهانی انجام می گیرد. وی ادامه داد: سازمان حفاظت محیط زیست ارتباط مناسبی با پژوهشگران دانشگاهی دارد و در این زمینه پژوهش های مشترک متعددی در سال های گذشته با دانشگاه ها و مراکز علمی و تحقیقاتی داشته ایم.
